Patient transport for you and your loved ones
To the doctor, to hospital, to rehab or back home: you call us, we take care of the rest — from your front door to your destination.
One call is all it takes
Many people think only a hospital can book patient transport. That is not the case: you can book any journey yourself, for yourself or for a relative — for an appointment with the doctor, a check-up at hospital or the journey home after rehab.
Tell us when you need to be where and whether you travel lying down, in a wheelchair or seated. We collect you from your front door, help you get in, accompany you to the reception desk and bring you back home afterwards.
- Collection from your front door, not the kerb
- Lying down, in your own wheelchair or seated
- One accompanying person travels free of charge
- Price on request before the journey, invoice to submit to your health insurer
- Here for you 365 days a year, free call on 0800 670 670

Find out moreWhat patients and relatives say
«As a relative, I was taken seriously and included in the process, which was an enormous relief for me. … The vehicle is modern, the equipment is convincing, and everything went calmly and without unnecessary stress, which was particularly important to my mother.»
«The staff were punctual, patient and extremely respectful towards the patient. In a sensitive situation, that cannot be taken for granted.»
Who pays for the journey?
If the transport is medically necessary and prescribed by your doctor, basic health insurance usually covers 50 per cent of the costs, up to an annual maximum. Supplementary insurance often covers more. Without a prescription, you book the journey privately — on request, we tell you the price in advance.

The first IVR-recognised patient transport service in north-western Switzerland
Recognition by the Swiss Interassociation for Rescue Services (IVR/IAS) is not a self-assessment but the result of an external audit of vehicles, equipment, training and procedures. Mobimed was the first patient transport provider in north-western Switzerland to receive it — and still holds it today.
