4051 Basel · City of Basel · Canton of Basel-Stadt — stretcher, wheelchair or seated
Mobimed provides patient transport in Basel across every district of the city — by stretcher, in a wheelchair or seated, with trained staff and IVR-recognised vehicles. Our base is in Binningen, right on the city boundary, so we can reach most addresses in the city quickly.
Whether Grossbasel or Kleinbasel, Gundeldingen, St. Johann, Bachletten, Breite or Hirzbrunnen — we collect you from your front door, not from the kerb. Addresses without a lift, narrow stairwells in old buildings and courtyards in the Old Town are everyday work for us: with a stair chair and two staff, we get to places a taxi cannot.
Of course, we also drive to any other address — to your GP, to physiotherapy, to a care home or back home after a hospital stay.
Basel has an unusually large number of hospitals and clinics in a small area. For patients, that often means an examination at one hospital, therapy at another and a transfer to a third. We know the access roads, stretcher entrances and admissions desks of the Basel hospitals and plan journeys so that there is no unnecessary waiting between two appointments. If you wish, we wait during the examination and then drive you home again.

Recognition by the Swiss Interassociation for Rescue Services (IVR/IAS) is not a self-assessment but the result of an external audit of vehicles, equipment, training and procedures. Mobimed was the first patient transport provider in north-western Switzerland to receive it — and still holds it today.
