The essentials first
Seated transport is the right choice for medically stable patients who can sit during the journey but need support getting in and out. Our vehicles offer so much space that walking aids, a rollator or a folding wheelchair can easily come along.
Typical uses
- Doctor and dentist appointments
- Dialysis transport
- Check-ups and follow-up appointments
- Return journey after outpatient procedures
- Journeys to therapy and rehabilitation
More than just a ride
What matters is not the vehicle but the support. Our staff collect you at your front door, help you stand up and get in, secure you in the vehicle, accompany you to the reception desk at your destination and are there again for the return journey.
That makes seated transport the right solution for anyone who can basically sit but should not or would rather not travel alone – for example after an outpatient procedure, or with dizziness, visual impairment or general weakness.
Room for everything that needs to come along
Our spacious vehicles have plenty of room for walking aids, a rollator or a folding wheelchair. We can also accommodate luggage for a hospital admission or files that need to go to the appointment.
A defibrillator on board is part of our standard vehicle equipment – in seated transport, too.

Frequently asked questions: Seated transport
What does seated transport include?
Trained staff accompany you from your front door to your destination, help you get in and out and bring along your rollator or folding wheelchair. We are there again for the return journey.
Can I take my rollator with me?
Yes. Our vehicles have room for walking aids, rollators and folding wheelchairs.
Can you drive me home after an outpatient procedure?
Yes, this is one of our most common journeys. After many outpatient procedures you are not allowed to drive yourself and should not go home alone. We take care of the return journey and accompany you.

The first IVR-recognised patient transport service in north-western Switzerland
Recognition by the Swiss Interassociation for Rescue Services (IVR/IAS) is not a self-assessment but the result of an external audit of vehicles, equipment, training and procedures. Mobimed was the first patient transport provider in north-western Switzerland to receive it — and still holds it today.
