Procedure

How the journey works

We collect from home or from the care home and accompany the patient to the admissions desk or onto the ward. We take our time with standing up, transferring and strapping in — we never rush. Mobility aids such as a rollator or wheelchair come along.

Geriatric medicine takes time — so does the transport

Felix Platter specialises in geriatric medicine. Many patients are unsteady on their feet, need help transferring or prefer to travel in their own wheelchair. We plan enough time for this and stay until the handover to the nursing staff is complete.

Mobimed is an independent transport service and is not part of Universitäre Altersmedizin Felix Platter. Please arrange appointments and medical questions directly with Felix Platter. In an emergency, dial 144 — Mobimed is not an emergency ambulance service.
